pygeckocircuit

A Python wrapper that drives GeckoCIRCUITS simulations through its REST API.

Updated

Context

GeckoCIRCUITS is a fast circuit simulator for power electronics, but its value multiplies when a script rather than a mouse decides which cases to run.

Constraint

A simulator driven through its own interface cannot take part in a parametric study, a regression run, or a build pipeline without a programmable boundary in front of it.

Contribution

I created and maintain pygeckocircuit, a Python wrapper over the GeckoCIRCUITS REST API for running parametric sweeps, extracting waveforms, and automating batch simulations.

Approach

The package sits on the shared abstract interfaces of pycircuitsim-core, so the same calling convention covers more than one simulator and a study is not rewritten when the backend changes.

Outcome

Simulations become ordinary Python objects: schedulable, comparable, and reusable across the same toolchain that already carries pyPLECS.

Evidence

The public repository holds the package, configuration, sample models, and unit tests.
